SV Steel is a steel balustrade and handrail fabricator for commercial buildings across London and the South East. We fabricate steel and steel-and-glass balustrades, handrails and guarding to the loading and guarding regulations, to BS EN 1090-1, Execution Class 2 (EXC2).

Guarding is life-safety steel: it has to take the horizontal and infill loads the regulations set, and on feature stairs it has to look right doing it. We fabricate balustrades and handrails to those loadings under Execution Class 2, in steel or steel-and-glass, co-ordinated with the stair or structure they fix to.

- What types of steel balustrade do you fabricate?
- We fabricate steel balustrades and guarding with vertical-bar, mesh, perforated-panel or glass infill, plus matching handrails, for stairs, landings, walkways, balconies and edges. Share your architect's design and we'll fabricate to it.
- Do your balustrades meet building regulations?
- We fabricate balustrades, guarding and handrails to the heights and loadings required for the building type, including the horizontal line load and infill loads set out in the guarding regulations. Tell us the use and we'll confirm against it.
- Can you make steel-and-glass balustrades?
- Yes. We fabricate the steel frame, posts and handrail and co-ordinate the glass infill, so the finished balustrade meets both the design intent and the guarding loads.
- What finishes are available?
